Jesse James Turner
Born, May 00, 1950-something
Beat the Odds, May 16, 2022 at 60 (something) years old.

Born to F and J Turner in Kentucky, both deceased, I am now at the crossroads between life and death. My time was up, but now I live. Where I find myself in life is blessed with a wonderful wife and friend in Lynell since 2001. We don’t live together, and we love each other. This brush with death makes all the little differences that were so important before seem so trivial now. I’m taking responsibility for this relationship, and I am committed to making it soar again. All my interactions with people are now grounded in compassion and generosity, with a commitment to always listen for the concerns of others in each interaction.

I am still the eldest of seven; Lynn (Ken), John (Jayne), Tamara, Jay (Susan, both deceased) Sharon, Tawana. My love for my five remaining siblings is deep and one of the pinnacles of my life. We all so miss Jaybird! My entire life had been slipping between my fingers. No more! My best friends, Dan, Jan, Myra, Nick, Madeleine, Romy, Rosa, and Justin (and my extended circle of family and friends) completely fill my life with Love, Companionship, Support, and Fun. It had always been too easy to put things off, but someday never comes. Spending time together is the thing life is for. Do this NOW!

I have accomplished much career success and have also had such trials in my career. I am grateful for the boss and job I have, and I am also clear that there is much to do to transform that relationship. I am thankful for the opportunity to do it, committed to an incredible final chapter in my professional life, and to causing a retirement of sufficient power and scope to allow for travel and being able to spend time with family and friends, witness the wonders of the world and enjoy a few years of leisure with ABUNDANCE and EASE.

No more complaints! ACTION!

No more blame, shame, or guilt- SELF EXPRESSION!

Time is too precious. I’m grateful to have a do-over in my life. Let’s do this - together!

A celebration will be scheduled and you will be invited. There is a recovery time ahead for me and there is still a pandemic to be worked around.

In lieu of gifts, I am asking anyone who feels inclined to donate to the Maryland Food Bank or any organization you choose. The plight of the homeless and the hungry is my own personal choice because it’s so immediately experienced by those affected. My commitment to a world that works for everyone starts right there..
